Jane Eyre…
Recently I have enrolled in a “Victorian Fiction and its Reading Audience” course.
The first reading is Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre.
At first I thought this might have been the worst book I have ever read in my life….after thinking about I have to say….it IS the worst book I have read in my life!
I heard that this book is often described as “Chick Lit”, which I have to say explains a lot. The book is an autobiographical novel about an orphan (Jane Eyre) and her life journey as a governess (nanny) in England.
I think there are a couple movies made, but I will never be watching any of them….EVER!
If your a girl as sexist as it sounds you may enjoy this book…if you’ve every played Skyrim in you underwear I suggest you stay far away.
